C. Spencer Yeh is renowned for his diverse roles as an artist, composer, and improviser, with a significant focus on his music project Burning Star Core. His works delves into avant-garde composition and performance, functioning both as experimental explorations of form and technique and as documentation of fellow artists within his creative and social milieu.

Alec Sturgis is running the Flavortone which is a music commentary podcast and writing platform with Nick Scavo.

For the past two years, C. Spencer Yeh and Alec Sturgis have been broadcasting their series of The American Anthology of Flat Music on Montez Press Radio. They explore the diverse spectrum of the cover-song genre ranging from faithful renditions that honor the original composition to more daring remixes that completely transform the vibe, bridging the gap with their own unique observations.
