Rave New World

June–October 2024

Rave New World will look at the movement of rave culture from its origin in Detroit to the furthest reaches of the globe, asking what its legacy can offer in varying national, political, social contexts. Her contributions will span the duration of the Montez Press Radio residency at Canal Projects as she plans to spend 2024 traveling to major gatherings like raves and conferences in Detroit, rural Texas, Taiwan, Singapore, Bali, and the Pacific Islands. She’ll send dispatches from her travels and in October she’ll visit NYC where she’ll produce a live gathering.
